• Using Python and R to analyzing the performance of different algorithms of movie trailer recommendations deployed by GroupLens, a research lab specializing in social computing
• Designing new algorithms to recommend movie genres, instead of movies, to participants
• Developing an application to deploy different recommendation algorithms

Database Intern
• Managing cloud data in the database for the organization and address technical requests across the company
• Provide solutions to tech requests with database knowledge and front-end skills, such as a javascript application that sped up the data gathering process
• Conducting data analysis on donation data to provide strategic recommendations on fundraising for next year

Girls Who Code
Teaching Assistant
• Teach 20 high school girls the fundamentals of computer science, covering topics including Scratch, Python, Robotics, Web development, and more.
• Assist the students with their homework and questions
• Manage the classroom and maintain an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
Projects
2048 Java
Implement the game 2048 in Java.
Added two additional levels to the game.
Currently, the board will rotate once the users reach a certain level.
Othello
Developed the game Othello in Python with an AI.
Players can choose to play in three difficulty levels, or with another human.
The program tracks the scores and determines the winner.
Carl Office Hour
Developing a website with a backend that allows students to search for professors’ office hours easily
Allowing users to search for information by using Django, Python, JavaScript, HTML and CSS .
Using javascript to display information interactively and applying Bootstrap and CSS for website design
